Classic La Liga Stratos Alitalia in the history of racing
In the early 1970s, its Stratos, paired with an Italian Airlines red, white, and green decal, was the star of the rally. The color came from the Italian flag, and the car itself used the same 2.4-liter V6 engine as the Ferrari Dino. It won championships in 1974, 1975, and 1976.
This classic sports car is a dream come true, and if you like it, you can still buy a brand new one today, but not from Lancia. Lancia produced 500 units to meet the competition requirements, but it was discontinued afterwards. However, a company called LB Specialist Cars produces nearly identical replicas, including the famous Alitalia flower pattern.
The difference is the engine, of course, how can you easily buy a Ferrari Dino engine? The replacement is an Alfa 2.5-liter V6 with a horsepower of 190bhp. If you feel it's not enough, you can also choose a 350bhp Toyota 3.5-liter V6. These engines allow you to drive the Stratos through the streets without worrying about traffic jams or high water temperatures.
