Printing, as a technology for replicating images and text, has social significance in that it records and disseminates corresponding historical and cultural information while replicating text and images. Therefore, the country where printing technology first appeared must be an ancient civilization of human beings. Printing, as a practical technique for replication, was invented by the Chinese people, and the well-known seal is its early prototype. Seals appeared very early in the history of China, with a large number of seals made of metal, stone, pottery, bone, etc. dating back to the Yin Dynasty. In the early days, seals were mostly in yin script, meaning that the text was concave on the printing surface. Later, there were also yang script seals, meaning that the text was convex on the printing surface. The main function of seals in history was to serve as a symbol or proof of marking, not yet in the form of replication as the main purpose. However, simple seals contained the profound principles of convex and concave printing in replication technology, which greatly inspired the invention of printing technology in the concept of printing.
