Today Is Kazakhstan's Republic Day

Today is Kazakhstan's Republic Day. According to the website of the Kazakhstani Presidential Office, a Republic Day award ceremony was held in the capital city of Astana on the 23rd local time. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev attended the event and delivered a speech to the nation.
Tokayev pointed out in his speech that Kazakhstan adopted the Declaration on Sovereignty on October 25, 1990, marking the beginning of the country's sovereign independence. He stated that all the achievements Kazakhstan has made today are attributed to the unity and strong cohesion of its people.
When discussing foreign policy, Tokayev stated that Kazakhstan adheres to a balanced and constructive foreign policy based on national interests. "This year, Kazakhstan has continued to play an active role in various multilateral international organizations, hosting major events such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Astana Summit and the World Central Asian Games. The international influence of Kazakhstan continues to grow," Tokayev said.
Additionally, Tokayev mentioned in his speech the measures taken by the state to support the development of sectors such as healthcare, education, culture, agriculture, and science, as well as the achievements made in these areas. After his speech, he commended a group of citizen representatives who had made outstanding contributions to national development.
